Deer mirror test aims to curb deer vehicle collisions
A new road signless device called a deer mirror is being tested north of Rapid City to flash headlight reflections onto the shoulder. The bright light is meant to trigger deer to freeze briefly, allowing cars to pass safely. If effective, the program may expand across the Black Hills and similar deer-populated areas.
