At a General Committee meeting the MacGregor and District Memorial Hall and Rest Room Fund approved immediate construction of a new hall. S. R. Lamb aims to start work soon as material salvaged from the H hut at Portage arrives, with $1450 for the hut and about $1200 for dismantling and hauling.

Bank of Montreal announces the promotion of Ernest E Rutherford to assistant general manager in charge of western branches. He succeeds Frederick Gordon Belcher who retires at month end. Rutherford, born in Birmingham England, joined B of M in 1912 and has held multiple Montreal area posts.
