A change to the Wemannona Highway Traffic Act will require all motor vehicles and trailers registered in the province to have turn signals starting July 2, 1970. Currently only vehicles 1958 or newer must have signals. Many older cars lack signaling, and loaded trailers obscure signals, prompting this safety measure. About 40,000 pre 1958 cars and 14,000 to 15,000 trailers lack signals. installation costs are around 15 dollars per unit.
