Lloyd C Holliday of Camana son of E Holliday enlisted in the active forces of the Canadian army on April 28 at Winnipeg. Before enlistment he farmed and lived northeast of MacGregor.
Manitoba farm girls are urged to enlist in the Canadian Women's Army Corps MD 10 aims to recruit 1000 WACs by May 30. Pte Laura Nunn of Shoal Lake testifies the army life is rewarding. Enlistment through Mrs J R McNeely. Fur coats sought for sailors at MacKinnon law office by May 22.
Bill Blanchard rests at home. Mrs R Cummings returns from Winnipeg after a week with Mrs N Downie. A May 21 Katrime event features Machan's orchestra with proceeds to the boys overseas fund. The Katrime W A will host a Blossom Tea May 20 at 3 p.m. in the Community Hall with aprons, fancy work, plants, produce and a 25c lucky table. Everyone invited.
