Portage Presbytery Meets Here in MacGregor
Portage Presbytery of the United Church met in MacGregor on May 2 with about fifty ministers and laymen. Norman Shuttleworth was re-elected chair and A D Caskey secretary. J M Taylor spoke on Christian Education, H Johnston discussed Manchuria, the Home Missions Committee approved salary increases up to 1500 for an ordained married man, meals were served by the Ladies Aid, and a visitors’ dance and dance orchestra event followed at the MacGregor Rink on May 24 with lunch and admission.
