Beloved Bagot Lady Passes Away at Orley Walden
Mel Walden a Bagot resident for over forty years and wife of Robert F Walden died Sunday evening at her home after several months illness. A West Meath Ont native, she taught in Lakeside Holland and Flemith before settling in Bagot. Surviving are her husband, a son JG Walden and daughter Mrs Erlendson, plus two sisters and one brother. Funeral held in Bagot Memorial Hall with community and visiting dignitaries in attendance. service by Rev McLeod and a large cortege to the cemetery. Funeral arranged by McKillops Limited Portage.

Members of the W M S attend the Presbytery in Neepawa today and Friday. On May 15 the W M S marks its 50th anniversary at Mrs Barrett's home at 2 30 p m with a special program and open invitation to district residents. George Pears and son Eddie are patients at Portage hospital this week with Eddie ill from measles and bronchitis and expected to return home soon. Jack Kozak, recently hospitalized, is now able to go home.
