Membership is one dollar through December 1978, open to all farm workers 18 and older, with 16 and 17 year olds eligible with parental consent. The effort involves support from Metis federation contributors and various provincial agencies, planning to negotiate contracts in April and file a brief with government later this year. The association seeks secure transport, uniform hours and conditions, wages, housing, and improved facilities, appointing a liaison officer with the Canada Farm Labor Pool.
