The article promotes drought readiness through forage crops. It endorses oats Rodney and Garry varieties for early spring seeding on summer fallow, harvest as silage or hay at soft dough, and late seeding for supplementary pasture. It cites corn as another silage option and lists Falconer Rainbow Flint Modern as silage varieties, plus 24D weed control for Western snow berry and wolf willow.
