Prairie trip plan for Commons agriculture committee
In April the Commons agriculture committee voted to seek permission to visit Western Canada to study grain issues. MPs plan to cut Easter vacation and depart April 9, visiting four western provinces, with debate on trip timing and scope. The motion faced opposition over timing and breadth, but the committee narrowly supported an eastern Canadian trip later.
