Hospital Opens Under Health Officer Guidance
At a town meeting the Agricultural Society discussed sympathy for the hospital project. A five year Thrift Stamp exchange plan was approved to fund improvements. The Municipal Council accounted for 950 dollars tied to the temporary hospital, with cots bedding and salaries noted. The hospital opened on health officer advice, with Mrs. Paterson as matron and local residents aiding in meals and service. Since opening sixty six cases treated, eight more patients from the district joined, increasing total in the facility.
