A821 was the best clas of the afternoon. Lady Myrtle, owned by W. K. Shaw of Beaver, Manitoba, is probably the finest filly of her age and breed ever shown in Brandon. She moves exceptionally well with great size and substance for her age, promising to develop into a splendid brood mare. Me Law, a longtime horse lover and successful exhibitor at local fairs, raised Lady Myrtle on his farm. Congratulations to the owner on producing one of Canada’s best horses.
At MacGregor on March 1 a daughter born to Mr and Mrs N Collmas. A daughter born to Mr and Mrs J R Davis at Portage la Prairie on March 7. Both notices confirm the new arrivals in local families.
A grand concert is planned at Beaver Union Church on Tuesday organized by the Community Club. Proceeds will fund the church lighting system upgrade. admission 20 cents. Local residents and volunteers support the effort for a worthy community project.

Funeral held from farm home of Mr. T Reynolds near Ortage la Prairie to Hillside Cemetery. Mrs Gardner born in Killylea Ireland. Survived by husband and son Freddie twelve, mother and sister in Ireland, two sisters Mrs S McEtevy and Mrs Marshall Edin Scotland, and many friends mourn her loss after a sudden illness in January.
