A.Y.P.A. Play Here Was Highly Entertaining
The AYPA three act play The Adventures of Grandpa drew a full hall last Friday. Rev 0 Lamb led the production with nine young cast members showing maturity beyond their years. Shirley Taylor impressed as a dancing instructor while Lloyd Street played a stern beat officer. Irene Alderson and Bob Wright aided Gerry Moran in a ruse to gain money from Grandpa Jim Lewis who arrived soon after. Irene pretended to be Gerry’s wife, creating comic complications with maids and a Constantinople visitor. The ensemble delivered well with a closing resolution and a dance hall encore featuring Machan’s orchestra.
