Viscount Alexander of Tunis, the Governor General, urged Canadians to back the Red Cross appeal aimed at three million dollars. A Government House message said the objective is the minimum needed to fund health improvement disease prevention and relief for those in dire need.
The notice recalls a whist drive and dance at Katrime Hall on March 5 hosted by Mrs. Tommy Telford and Ronald of Beaver, with several local visits including the Gilberts and Marjorie Telford. It notes Carnival Queen voting, ticket sales at Alton's, community appeals for children, and local travel and visitors. It mentions curling in the MacGregor Bonspiel with Norman Smith, and updates on Mrs. Ernie Duncan’s health. The piece comments on winter snow, road openings, and community cooperation, thanking those who helped clear snow for the Blanchard funeral.

A large crowd attended the U P A Variety Concert in the United Church Annex on Monday evening. Highlights included a tap dance by Joan Stinson and Vivian Telford and several humorous skits. Garth Nelson directed and Oliver Hodge served as chairman. Lunch was served after, and proceeds totaled 32.70.
Under The Trustee Act in the Estate of John A Gray deceased of MacGregor Manitoba a druggist. All claims must be sent to MacKinnon and MacKinnon solicitors for Archie V Jubb M D and Thomas Gray executors at Hampton Street MacGregor by April 2 1948. Dated March 2 1948.
Bagot News reports M E Towertey returned from Vancouver and Mrs J Donkesreiter visited Winnipeg and Ninette last week. Numerous residents such as Mary Lynne Boyer of Brandon and G McLachlan with Lynne in Portage are listed as being home or traveling. Community events include curling club dance music by Machan’s orchestra and a March 2 Community Club Dance. The district extends sympathy to Mrs Chariton and family after the death of Mrs George Wood of Portage. A miscellaneous shower hosted by Mrs H Finnie and Mrs C Matthews honored Miss Allison Munroe with gifts and lunch for thirty eight guests.
