Memorial fund nears 1500 with Carillon Singers gift
The Audrey Steeden Memorial Scholarship Fund, held in trust by the Children's Aid Society of Central Manitoba in Portage la Prairie, nears $1,500 after a $100 donation from the Carillon Singers. Steeden, once CAS Central Manitoba president and head of Portage la Prairie Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary, died September 29, 1975. The fund’s disposition is undecided and a 1977 start date is possible for a continuing or one time scholarship. The Carillon Singers, led by President Mrs. Tina Pulver and Treasurer Mrs. Doreen Cobbe, raised the latest contribution through performances.
