Portage Fair budget tight as 1975 shows losses
Portage la Prairie board reports 1975 fair handled 100000 with a loss of 91 and plans tight budgeting for 1976. Chair Jack Mitchell notes no gate price rise, small increases for adult three day passes and parking, hoping higher attendance offsets costs. Wages 20600, prize money 314000, revenue 60622, midway nearly 10000, and community benefits cited. Pass books for three day passes to be sold downtown soon.
