The Electors Roll for 19e8 is deposited for thirty days. Complaints must be written at least ten days before the Court of Revision. A Court of Revision will be held July 8, 1946 at 1:90 PM in the Municipal Hall MacGregor to hear lodged complaints. Dated June 1916 at MacGregor. See Treasurer RM North Norfolk.
The Minister of Finance announced in the House of Commons on June 21 that Canada will launch the Canada Savings Bond this fall to replace the Victory Bond and the War Savings Certificate. It will be sold through banks and dealers with a payroll plan for employers, not an organized door campaign. denominations will be 50, 100, 500, and 1000 dollars, redeemable on demand at 100 percent plus interest, with registered principal and purchase limits.
Miss Jean Susan Quigley and Arthur Storie were married at Grace United Church in London Ontario on Saturday. Rev W A Waldoo officiated as family and friends witnessed a formal ceremony with choirs and floral displays. The reception followed at the bride’s home and the couple planned to honeymoon at Niagara Falls before settling in London Ontario.
Forestdale 1.C.E. Club announces its annual picnic will be held at the Firdale school grounds on Thursday June 27 at 5 p.m. Mrs W McLachlan hosted Forestdale Chapter 1.C.C.E. meeting with sixteen members and three visitors. Mrs R Storie reported on the Winnipeg National Convention and committees for the event were formed. The session closed with prayer and lunch.
