Museum Notes From Weekend Visitors and Donations
Weather was ideal for Sunday museum drives and picnics with over a thousand visitors and 300 to 400 lunches noted. Volunteers including George Down, Kenneth Down, Fred Harrison, Frank Dunn, Clarence Denser, and others from Portage, Austin, and Miami returned, delivering donations such as a film tank, a grain scoop, Morits chairs, a dresser, and a mustache cup. Rain disrupted midweek plans but the grounds revived with people tending trees, flowers, lupine, birds, and chipmunks. Many Winnipeg and Portage-area families visited, sharing lunches and tour memories at Park Perry and various homes.
