Portage School Division Adds Buses From Province
The Portage division has 11 new buses now and aims for 17 by September 1976. The Province funds these buses through Education, not local taxpayers, though Manitoba taxpayers overall bear the cost. The arrangement shifts provincial revenue toward Portage while sharing costs across divisions. The counsellor offers personal academic or career help and will connect students to staff or agencies as needed.
