Mrs J Richardson visits Winnipeg with Mrs Eldon Shaw and Milton Ward of Brandon. A dance at MacGregor Rink on Friday June 29 features Knights of Rhythm. Mrs Clifford Lamont and three children visit from Flin Flon, with Mr and Mrs M Thompson. Rev J A Cormie to preach at United Church next Sunday. Mr and Mrs S Little from Detroit motor tour. MLA John Muirhead and Mr and Mrs J L of Carberry attend School Field Day. Divine service in MacGregor United Church Sundays 11 am, Sunday School 10 am. no evening service. Congrats to Mr Thomas Cairns on his 85th day. WMS tea by Mrs Smalley and Mr Patterson June 28 at 3–6 pm for Gimli Fresh Air Camp. Masonic Grand Lodge of Manitoba annual meeting held in Brandon with 600+ attendees. H L Adolph elected Grand KW. G W Widge elected M of the Second Masonic Dist. Macauley School District picnic June 1 at E Chant farm with prizes for tens baseball and womens softball. entries due June 28 to Mrs A E Chant. children races and baskets welcome.
Dr A G MacKinnon has accepted a Dominion Government post as Medical Officer of the Northwest Territories and Yukon. He and Mrs MacKinnon plan to travel to Pangnirtung on Baffin Island, near the Arctic Circle, reporting in Ottawa next Monday and joining an Arctic Expedition departing Montreal in July. Mrs MacKinnon will join him later. A farewell at the Skating Rink is set for Friday night at 8. All are invited as the community wishes them well.
