Grain research support program eyed by Wheat Board
At a Canadian Wheat Board advisory committee meeting the global outlook for grain remained positive though prices unsettled. A Grain Research Support Program could funnel up to $200,000 yearly into undergraduate scholarships and graduate assistantships, funded by producers with government and private partners to sustain grain research capacity. The board also discussed country meetings, proposing eleven winter sessions in each advisory district with input via letters or calls to Lorne Parker.

Correction in Herald Files clarifies Stinson family relations
In the May 26 Herald Files column the wrong names were given for the three Stinson houses. The correct version states that Mr. Stinson was the grandfather of Art Stinson as well as Mrs. Cook and Mrs. Gilroy. Mrs. Cook, not Mrs. Gilroy, lives in the west house of the two remaining houses.
