The Mason Hall gathering heard from John Monkhouse of Manitoba Co-operative Dair Ltd about establishing a district creamery. He urged a survey of local cows, water, and funding, noting about 4000 cows producing half a million pounds of butter fat annually are needed. A survey committee was formed with eight farmers and Board of Trade members to study feasibility and later hold another public meeting.
A July 19 meeting of the Liberal Progressive Association in Neepawa examined the election results and possible protest actions against Bracken. H R Veals praised Liberal efforts, noted wartime victory for King, and planned next steps while a committee advised MacKenzie.
