Miss Ethel Taylor of Winnipeg visits with her family here this week. Local residents and guests from Winnipeg, Montreal, Baldur and Scotch Bay spent days with the Hodgins, Walkers, and Forbisher families. Travelers include Ted Roberts from Montreal and Annie Ames heading to Portage with friends. Mrs Lake and Joyce visited Winnipeg. Fred Lake returns from Eastern Canada.

Mrs. F. W. Moores Laid To Rest
The funeral of Mrs. Fredrick T. Moores at Katrine followed her July 7, 1941 death in Portage la Prairie Hospital. Rev. S. R. McLeod conducted the service with interment in Katrine cemetery. Pallbearers included Arthur Groves Frank Smith Cecil Cooper Francis McLachlan Henry Taylor and Arthur Taylor. Mrs Moores born Mary Allen Paterson in Scotland in 1877 later moved to Gainsborough Saskatchewan and married in 1908. She is survived by her husband five daughters three grandsons one sister and a brother. Floral tributes came from many relatives and local groups.
