His Majesty's Submarines A Grim Record Of Daring Work

London reports a six page government booklet detailing Britain's submarine war in World War II from the Ursula first torpedo in 1939 to 1944. It recounts daring feats such as Torbay's 17 hours in Corfu Roads, Triumph escapes from depth charges, Upholder’s losses, and Neptunia/Oceania sinkings, plus a humorous note on Turbulent’s torpedo that circled and nearly hit a destroyer. The study, prepared by the Ministry of Information, compiles the RN's controversial and storied undersea campaign.
