Farmers can obtain evergreen seedlings from two Manitoba sources

Evergreen seedlings are available from the Forest Nursery Station at Indian Head Saskatchewan and the Provincial Foresters Department in Winnipeg Manitoba. Each farmer may order up to 30 trees per year from Indian Head and 500 trees per year from Winnipeg at one cent per seedling plus freight. Species include White Spruce Scotch Pine Colorado Blue Spruce White Spruce Red Pine Jack Pine. Orders require written applications and money orders to the Provincial Treasurer. Plumbaramas water and sanitation displays begin July 24 at Altona and run eight sites through August 3 with interactive demonstrations and expert staff from Health Agriculture and Hydro.

Clergy Welcome Night at MacGregor Receives Praise

Reverend Armistead expressed pleasure at being called to MacGregor and thanked all for warm reception. Visiting ministers Rev M Miller High Bluff Lyle Patterson Murray Birch Maurice Smith Mrs John Woodin and Dr G Elliot of Portage offered greetings. Dankesreiter thanked Rev Hodge and Rev Waddell for managing the evening and Waddell gave the benediction.
