Manitoba to allow hunting in select provincial park areas
Manitoba will continue allowing hunting in certain provincial park zones and other areas where environmental protection matters. Wildlife Minister Harvey Bostrom says a common sense approach will steer policy and advocates habitat preservation tax rebates. Deer numbers are low and there will be no wide deer hunting season this year, with possible long term limits. The Manitoba Wildlife Federation supports controlled hunting within parks while preserving other recreation areas.
