Manitoba Hydro Extends Service to 1300 More Customers
Manitoba Power Commission reports December expansion of rural electrification adding 1,300 new customers in Westbourne Rosedale Langford Lansdowne Minita North Norfolk Portage la Prairie and Shell River areas. Upgraded lines include a 66 000 volt feed Carberry Neepawa and a 33 000 volt Steinbach to Niverville run with new substations at Steinbach and Niverville. Power generation totaled 21 458 16 kilowatt hours a 36.5 percent rise from last year with steady increases across 1949.
