The 1 pm draw saw David Towle narrowly defeat Rodney Ewen while Frank Halkyard beat Tommy Makinson. In the 3 pm session Alex Hammon edged Ronnie Hazel and Billy Makinson beat his sister Margaret. Hazel McGillvray and Margaret Nichol return after illnesses. Donna Carruthers notes the 4-H Sewing Club January 8 meeting at Austin School.
