MacGregor 12 and riders reach Sprucewoods finals in tie
MacGregor 12 and riders advanced to the Sprucewoods Minor Hockey League finals after a 66 draw with Carberry in Carberry last Monday. MacGregor had earlier defeated Carberry 43 to win the series by one goal. the game went to overtime with Mark McGregor scoring four. Austin 12 and anters started the best of three finals in Austin, delivering an 8 victory. Ken Klippenstein led with five goals as McGregor added two and Darren Borton one. Rick Amann scored all of Austin's goals. MacGregor 14 and riders dominated Windsor Park of Winnipeg 14 to 4, with Jonasson four and MacDonald three among scorers. MacGregor also beat Carberry 32 at MacGregor, with Thompson, Jonasson and Thompson scoring, and the second game set for Carberry Wednesday night. Finalists include MacGregor 14 and riders at MacGregor.
