MacGregor Council Approves Water Sewer Extension and Centennial Day
The MacGregor village council announced that water and sewer materials are ordered for the east end of Hampton Street with work to start soon. Easements will be given as needed. The February 13 meeting chaired by Mayor Wenham heard delegations from the Centennial Committee and others about land, road plans, and park equipment. Council to purchase sewer testing gear, grant $200 to the Centennial Committee, and report an overall 1966 budget surplus of $623 with a $155 over-expenditure deferred levy. The water utility posted a $2,025 revenue surplus for the year.

Minors to Host Winnipeg All Stars in Friday Exhibition
The Winnipeg All Stars an all twelve year old team from Winnipeg will visit MacGregor to play an exhibition against the MacGregor twelve and riders. The visitors have been selected from community clubs and will compete in an Easter Lakehead tournament. MacGregor plans to add two thirteen year olds to bolster the lineup for the 8 pm Friday game.
