Valentine Party Brightens Bagot School Ward
School children, mothers, and ladies of the district enjoyed a Valentine Party at Bagot School on Friday afternoon. A short program and lunch completed a pleasant afternoon. Special thanks to teacher Mrs Lawrie. The municipal plow appeared Monday to clear local garages after over three weeks of idleness, its first trip since repair, and was greatly appreciated. Weather suggests another plow run may be needed soon.

Twenty Two Rinks Enter Bagot Bonspiel
Twenty two rinks entered the Bagot bonspiel which began February 7 with early results listed. Matches include Grand Challenge Palmer versus Burch and Glen Nichol versus J Lamont. Portage Presbyterial Meeting At Neepawa With Members
An executive meeting of the WMS Portage la Prairie Presby terial of the United Church met at Neepawa United Church on February 1 with twelve present. Reports were read and received. $6665 remitted to conference branch in 1948, leaving a good Building Fund balance as the 1949 allocation rises to 8284. Members urged to aim for $10 per member while secretaries reported encouraging results to be discussed in May at Neepawa church. The Mannfield in Augustine Church Winnipeg March 2 3 4 meeting called. Overseas Missions Secretary Mrs Hugh D Taylor of Toronto will speak at an open meeting Wednesday evening on Dangerous topics.
