Council Offers To Buy Water Line and Tank
The Mac Gregor village council voted to offer $5,000 for the water supply line and tanks owned by Canadian Pacific Railway and arranged a six month lease with the railway. Engineers from Underwood and McLellan discussed system needs, with further council review before filing with the Utility Board. A Chamber of Commerce delegation asked about water supply and flood control efforts, with hopes flood control could be handled by the Whitemud watershed if active this year. Flood damages approved for payment to several local entities, and Mayor Wenham’s hospital board seat was not renewed. Robert ONeill appointed to complete the term. Dog licenses are due by February 28.
