The Beaver Katrime 4H Calf Club met at C Rodgers home with 10 members and 5 visitors. Vice president stood in for the absent president while Mr Duncan reported on a Campbell Soup plant tour. Leaders weighed calves last week. next meeting will be a parents meeting at E Duncan home on January 17.

A meeting of the WI directors was held at Mrs. A Kilfoyle’s home. Mrs Kilfoyle was elected president for 1961 with Mrs A Little as first vice president and Mrs Wm Saunders as second vice president. Other officers were reappointed and Mrs M Booth and Mrs Duncan were chosen to oversee the Senior Citizens club room. Directors for 1961 include Mrs Ormiston, Mrs Hotel, Mrs A Groves, Mrs Saunders, Mrs Kilfoyle, Mrs A Little and Mrs E Hodge.

Mr and Mrs Lake celebrated their 40th year with a family dinner at the home of their son-in-law and daughter Mr and Mrs John Tomchuk of Portage. The couple wed December 14 1920 at Katrime and have lived there since. Guests from Winnipeg Pine Falls Rossendale MacGregor and others sent greetings and gifts.
This week ACL reports a quiet period with exams completed by students. The student council plans a Christmas party for Tuesday December 20 and the staff is wished a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
