Tivoli theatre opens to large town crowd
A crowd of over four hundred attended the opening of the Tivoli Theatre presented by Messrs Ro McKelvy and T D Lamb. The new building at 70 by 26 feet features a 9 by 12 foot screen, Donacona board interior, two Powers projection machines, Mazda lamp houses, and a full acoustic setup. Local labor led by Aylmer Duncan built it, with Reeve Duff presiding at the opening and Donald Turner operating the equipment. The theatre hosts a matinee for children and a Christmas program in town events.
