Christmas Festival 1973 Recap Highlights Parade and Events
The Christmas Festival 1973 faced the cold which kept marching children from the parade and prevented Santa’s cutter and team from operating. Santa rode in a rocking chair warmed by a stove, while snowmobile rides were pared back. The day featured a primary concert, fashion show, school displays, and a well attended inter faith program. Forty three take out suppers were delivered to senior citizens and shut ins, a pot luck supper drew good attendance, and evening entertainment by the Bar W Ranch boys capped the event. Overall the festival was described as successful and enjoyable.
