December Meeting of Britania Chapter 1.0.D.E. Held
The regular Britania Chapter 1.0.D.E. meeting at Mrs. S. R. Lamb’s home on Monday December 7 was chaired by Regent Mrs. H. A. Lye with fourteen members present. Two new members joined as plans moved to launch the March of Dimes campaign early next year and knit wool for Korea. The LODE. supports refugee work, has spent over a million dollars since 1942, and distributes most overseas shipments through Save the Children Fund to camps in Europe and Asia. The group will continue refugee aid via Canadian World Refugee Year committees, emphasizing personal cash gifts and local project participation rather than LODE. funds.

North Norfolk Agricultural Society Holds Annual Meeting
The North Norfolk and District Agricultural Society met December 1 at Memorial Hall MacGregor with 28 members. President HJ Dankesreiter chaired as officers were named for 1960 and finance showed a 1960 deficit of 319 while capital spends of 525 were approved as recoverable under a new government aid plan.
