MacGregor Hospital Aid invites bake sale in the Senior Citizen's room on Saturday December 11 at 4 p.m. Tickets for a Christmas fruit cake will be drawn at sale end. Donations of baking or produce welcome. United Church Sunday School announces Christmas concert on Wednesday December 15 at 8 p.m.
Rossendale district notices list visits among Watsons Moffats Frizzleys and Tomheuks with Winnipeg Sioux Narrows and Fort Frances connections. Community members attend Neufeld Pidula wedding and dance and plan 4H Beef Builders dance. Santa to appear at Sunday School White Gift service December 12 followed by Christmas party. Darren Frizzley celebrated third birthday at the Portage Santa parade while Dave Doerfluer wins Windfall TV appearance.
Miss Anne Lowe was honored at a shower in the lower room of Austin United church with corsages, a Wedding March, and seating under a decorated arch. Gifts arrived by airplane from Leonard Bull and Dwight Johnson. Anne expressed thanks and invited guests to Winnipeg. Guests enjoyed piano solos and a luncheon hosted by numerous hostesses.
The Bagot combined 4H Beef and Woodworking club reorganized on Monday November 29. Officers elected include beef section leaders J Pogue Sr B Hildebrand R Kalberg and woodworking section leader C Nichol and Mrs C Rands. Club president Bernie Brecknell vice president George Currie secretary Beverley Beam treasurer Ken Wright and club reporter Don Crealock. Mr Jorgenson addressed the meeting and a social hour followed. Beef section membership is five and woodworking six.
MacGregor UCW will hold its annual Christmas meeting and pot-luck supper on Monday December 13 at 7 pm. Following the meal a Christmas worship and short play will be presented. Special guests will be newcomers to MacGregor. All ladies of the church are invited to attend. Please bring your own dishes and cutlery.
