Saskatchewan Nurses Gain 30 Dollar Monthly Pay Increase
Saskatchewan hospital nurses will see a 30 dollar monthly raise approved by the SHSP. The increase is funded by what SHSP pays hospitals for nursing services, with hospitals allowed to add more if needed from other sources. The plan raises the province’s payment to 14.5 million dollars, about a million increase, and averages seven percent, higher for lower paid nurses and lower for those at the top. Newly graduated nurses earn 364 dollars monthly under the old schedule while a nursing director earned 786 to 1,005, and most nurses are in the general staff category earning 364 to 460 in the old scale.

Qu Appelle To Get A Steady Winter Water Flow
Allan R. Guy states Diefenbaker Lake will supply a continuous winter flow to the Qu Appelle River system to keep Buffalo Pound Lake oxygenated and refresh other lakes. Buffalo Pound Lake feeds Moose Jaw’s drinking supply and roughly half of Regina’s needs. This marks the first winter-long flow since the 1950s high water period, with previous June releases continuing into Buffalo Pound Lake and surplus water diverted toward Last Mountain Lake.
