Local Co operative Elevator Holds Annual Meeting
The MacGregor Co operative Elevator Association held its annual meeting in Memorial Hall on November 200, with small attendance. Directors J Lambert KH Anderson E K W Cox and A Robert Lamb were re elected for two year terms. Harold Lamb was elected delegate to the 1967 MPE annual meeting. The year ended July 1 1956 saw a net handle of 9000 bushels and a surplus of 77375 dollars. this was considered too small to justify an allocation so it was applied to the capital debt. The crop year ending July 31 1956 was slim, but prospects for the current year look brighter with over 100000 bushels already handled and grain still undelivered. Swings and junk collection for playgrounds in Norwich England aims to place broken down tires and perhaps a steamroller in children's play areas next spring.
