Local golf results include the secretary treasurer placing second in a Clear Lake tournament. Jack Gibson's California trip is noted. Wet Weather Delays Harvesting in District
Rain fell over the Macaregor district last Friday and Saturday delaying harvest. Swathing began Monday afternoon but combining won’t be general until Tuesday or Wednesday, with showers possibly extending delays. Some fields were ideal for swathing while others had green spots hampering work. Farmers sense early sown grain is good but later crops average. It is too soon to judge the 1964 crop. a week of warm weather could reveal a clearer picture and better prospects than last year.
