International Harvester Franchise Sold in Portage la Prairie
E T Eyvindson retires after selling his International Harvester business in Portage la Prairie to Bruce Grant and Hugh Mustard, Winnipeg buyers. The firm, Prairie Sales and Service, will be renamed Portage International Farm Equipment, with seven staff and a new self-serve parts department. Grant and Mustard plan to expand farm and industrial gear and offer construction equipment, citing Portage as a centre of prairie agriculture. Grant, 39, and Mustard, 31, bring decades of IH experience from Brandon to Winnipeg and Manitoba operations, with family ties and community involvement noted.
