One-Man Haying With New McKie Shredder Harvester
Mr S Coulthard and Iaw Dave own a McKie Shreder Harvester that streamlines haying to a one-man job. The metal machine with trailer costs about 2000 dollars, loads two tons per load, and can load four tons per hour over short hauls. It has been used in Ontario for years and Manitoba for four years, with twenty machines in the province. Sissons Bros of Elm Creek sell them locally, as shredding during loading cuts future feed work.
