Local Youth Hopes for Manitoba Medical Studies
Jim Turner formerly of the R.C.N.V.A. returned home Saturday from Winnipeg where he attended Summer School. He aims to study medicine at the University of Manitoba. Turner aided at the Herald Office while learning the three Rs at the local school and we wish him success in the medical field.

Welcome Home Britannic Returns Reunite Canadian Servicemen
The Britannic docked at Quebec last week carrying hundreds of servicemen returning from overseas. Included were MacGregor soldiers Sigma George McDougall and George Turner, both enlisted in Winnipeg in June 1944 with the Signal Corps and served in Italy, north‑west Europe, and Germany. McDougall arrived in MacGregor Thursday night to a family reunion with his wife and daughter Caroline present. Turner stopped in Winnipeg to visit his mother Mrs. E. E. Turner and relatives before continuing home.

Mrs D R Davis and Arlene spent a week in Winnipeg visiting Mrs A E Shaw and Misses Beatrice and Jean Davis. Mrs I M West and Miss Marian Alexander of Winnipeg spent the week end with Miss Lillian Hay and relatives.
