Easy, Mr. and Mrs. M. visited Winnipeg for a weekend while many others from Katrime enjoyed time at Lake Norman and with local families. Celebrations included Mrs. S. Gilbert’s 86th birthday on August 4. The Katrime baseball team won 8 7 in a friendly at Westbourne.
Mrs A Pogue is holidaying at Kenora and Keewatin while Miss Margaret Coulthard visits Winnipeg. No WMS or WA meeting until further notice. D Naylor and Coulthards visited Birtle last week. Joe and family Dowie return from eastern Canada. Albinet family hosted at Longstreet. J Dankesrieter and four children visiting Ninette. Mr Jankesrieter hospitalized. S Burch of Wellwood to speak at Bagot Church on Sunday Aug 17. invitation to attend.
Mrs Albert Pogue enjoys a week long holiday in Winnipeg and Kenora. Miss Lorena English from Treherne stayed with the Pogues. Families in the Image Creek district cooled off at Delta Beach during hot days. Mrs Cliff Charleton is convalescing at Mrs E R Pogues home after an operation. Motorists to Winnipeg included Mr and Mrs Jack Matthews with Elizabeth and Mr and Mrs H Boyer with Lynne. Visitors at the Boyer home included Mr and Mrs Len Clarke of Winnipeg and Mr and Mrs Louis Boyer of Michigan.
