Neepawa and Portage la Prairie visitors fill weekend calendar. Mrs A M Donald spent the week end with friends at Edrans and Mr and Mrs Arthur Stinson welcomed guests. Local families host kin from Regina Nelson and Winnipeg meanwhile the Red Cross group plans sewing bees. Jubilee events and farm activity signal a lively late summer in the district.

MacGregor Fair A Great Success
MacGregor’s annual fair drew a large crowd with gate receipts the largest ever. Visitors came from Portage, Carberry, Poplar Point and beyond. Highlights included standout horse and cattle exhibits, strong roots vegetables grain dairy produce and a large Ladies Work display. The afternoon sport featured baseball with Ellsmith defeating MacGregor 5 to 2, umpired by W A Young. four entries competed in the ladies tournament.
