MacGregor Fair a Great Success in Town

The MacGregor fair, its 34th annual event, drew large crowds and visitors by rail and road. Exhibits showed high quality in vegetables, dairy, and crops with prizes won by local growers and teams, including a four horse team. baseball games closed the day with MacGregor defeating Sidney 9 5 and Oakville routing Pine Creek 9 0.

Semi final thrills highlight Provincial fair events

Pine Creek and Poplar Point won a dramatic game with a four run margin as North windups baffled the Creek. The MacGregor and Beaver J semifinal provided the day’s standout match with high drama before darkness halted play. Umpire W A Young praised. babies reached the 100 percent mark at the Provincial Board of Health tent with certificates awarded. The MacGregor Band performed well.
