Rifle Ball Enters Breast Injuring Farmer Near MacGregor
Morris Weatherall a farmer south of MacGregor was handling a 22 calibre rifle when it discharged. The ball entered his breast about one inch above the heart and lodged in the flesh in the back. Dr Ponton extracted the ball and he was sent to a hospital in critical condition but is likely to recover.
