Marlene Nelson Honored at Shower in Austin Hall

A community shower for Marlene Nelson, bride-elect of July 21, was held in Austin Community Hall on July 12. Guests presented corsages as Mrs. Catherine Smith led the Bridal March on piano, with a medley of tunes during the program. An amusing interlude featured a hog-raising patient carried in on a stretcher, then embraced by Nurse Nelson as doctors escorted him away. A. Manns read a warm address, gifts were displayed by Dr Cheryl Johnston, and the group enjoyed lunch prepared by Pine Creek hosts.
