Bride Dorothy Makinson Weds James Makinson in Austin
A marriage of interest to the Austin district was solemnized April 20 at the home of Mr and Mrs C Lewis when Dorothy Lewis became the wife of James Makinson of Austin. Rev J T Gawthrop officiated with Dorothy given away by her father and attended by her sister Gwendolyn. Arnold Makinson of Winniper, nephew of the groom, attended as best man. The couple plan a honeymoon in Winnipes and will reside in Austin after returning.

Friends Honor Bride At Shower
A miscellaneous bridal shower for Mrs. Chas. Murray was held April 22 at the home of Mrs. R. Outhwaite. Hostesses were Mrs. Mina Stewart and Mrs. H. S. Atkins. Guests enjoyed contests and gifts from an Easter Bunny drawn in a wagon. Mrs. Murray thanked attendees as forty ladies sang.

Miss Florence Hartnell of Plumas enjoys a holiday at her Forrestville home. Forrestville school pupils travelled to Springbrook for a softball game.
