Community notes from Maple area visit and weather tales
Local column notes a CPR steel gang visiting with about 180 workers to lay heavy track on the main line. The piece mixes rail history, a query about Model T trucks on No 1 Highway, fishing reports at Westbourne, a child’s quip, lingering snow, and requests for old summer camp photos. Occasional local business updates and anecdotes about Don Carruthers steam engine, fair book progress, and a near-drowning mishap.
