Health authorities launch a four to five day mobilization to vaccinate over half a million Manitobans starting April 30. Dr H Elias of Portage Health Unit oversees clinics across the unit from St Francois Xavier to Carberry with focus on MacGregor schools and districts. Sabin oral polio vaccine will be used, no needles involved, as details of clinics are announced.

The Beaver nuspitar Aid sponsors an amateur contest on Friday April 27 at 8 30 p m in MacGregor Memorial Hall. musical dancing or comic acts welcome entry by April 25 two prizes of 15 10 and 5 for winners admission 75c for adults 50c for students 25c for ages 6 14 contestants admitted free renominal attendance expected.
